ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT sophomore defensewoman Emma Pickering ws named the Atlantic Hockey America Defender of the Week announced by the league Monday. It is the second time that Pickering has been honored by the league this season.
Pickering scored three goals in two games at Mercyhurst including a goal RIT's 2-1 loss, Friday. The sophomore defender tallied two third-period goals in Saturday's 4-3 win. Her power play goal 3:53 into the third period tied the game at 3-3, while her goal (PP) at 7:36 proved to be the game-winner for the Tigers. Pickering leads the team with seven goals.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday (Nov. 26) at No. 8 Cornell at 7:00 p.m.
