Antol and Koen named RIT Athletes of the Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior Jillian Antol (WSOC) and senior Derick Koen (MXC) were named the RIT Athletes of the Week announced on September 23, 2025.
 
Antol converted a penalty kick in the 51st minute to help RIT to a 2-0 win at Clarkson, Saturday to remain undefeated. It was the senior defender's second career goal and first since the 2022 season. Antol played the full 90 minutes for the Tigers and helped preserve their third shutout of the season. 
 
Koen led the Tigers to second place out of 24 teams at Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday. Koen finished second overall out of 312 runners with a time of 27:17.2. 

Sept. 16 Kira Kronenberg and Gabriel Escobar 
 
Kronenberg advanced to the championship match in the "B" Flight at the Mary Hosking Invitational. She defeated Sarah Odland in her opening match, and beat Anushka Jaiswal, 8-1 in the quarterfinal before an 8-6 win over Kaaviya Kannan in the semifinal. Kronenberg teamed up with sophomore Maya McDaniel to win the "A" Double Flight.
 
Escobar won the "D" Flight Singles title at the St. Lawrence Fall Classic. He defeated Joshua Chu, 8-7 in Saturday's opening match, and went on to beat Hamilton's Neal Gupta, 8-1. Sunday, Escobar took down Preston McCarthy, 8-5 in the semifinals before an 8-4 win over Alejandro Fernandez in the title match. He teamed up with junior Luke Weber to win the "B" Doubles Flight.
 
Sept. 9 Kathryn Arbegast and Moobin Kim

Arbegast finished second out of 104 runners to lead RIT to a second-place finish at Brockport's Tom Balon Alumni Classic, Saturday. The junior runner completed the 5k course in a time of 18:38.9.
 
Kim scored two goals to lead RIT to a 2-1 win at Geneva College, Saturday. Kim scored his first collegiate goal in the 61st minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. He tallied his second goal in the 90th minute to increase RIT's lead to 2-0. 
 

Sept. 3 - Sara Wild (WVB) and Amerie Mills (WSOC)

Wild set the Tigers to a 3-1 record to start the season at the Bearcat Invitational. Averaging 8.59 assists/set, her weekend included a 37 assist/13 dig performance in a 3-2 win over host Saint Vincent as well as a career-high 44 assist/seven dig/four block showing against Westminster.

Mills helped RIT to a 1-0-1 record to start the season. The sophomore forward scored the game-tying goal in the Tigers 2-2 draw against Grove City and recorded an assist in a 2-1 win over Endicott.
