Men's Hockey travels to Colgate for first road trip of the season
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - After starting the 2025-campaign with five-straight home contests, the RIT Men's Hockey team hits the road for a pair of non-league games at Colgate this Friday and Saturday.
Unbeaten in their last three games, the Tigers have averaged six goals per game during the stretch, including a 6-2 win over Clarkson followed by 5-1 and 7-3 victories over visiting Air Force last weekend. The Raiders earned a road split with then 10th-ranked Maine last weekend, taking Friday's opener, 3-2, before falling by the same score in overtime during Saturday's rematch.

TIGER REWIND
RIT picked up its first two Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) victories of the season last weekend, sweeping Air Force at the Gene Polisseni Center, 5-1 and 7-3. 
Senior captain Tyler Mahan got things going 4:33 into Friday's contest with his first goal of the season and later added his second to push the Tigers to a 4-1 lead after two periods. Junior forward Christian Catalano logged a goal and an assist while senior forward Simon Isabelle and sophomore defenseman Mason Croucher each tallied two assists to lead 10 Tiger point scorers.
Tied, 3-3, early in the second period of Saturday's contest, RIT pulled away with four unanswered tallies to complete the evening. Junior forward Boris Skalos scored a career-high four points (1G/3A) to lead 11 Tigers with at least one point, including junior defenseman Tristan Allen (3A), and sophomore forward Mathieu Cobetto-Roy (1G/1A).
Sophomore forward Jakub Krbecek backstopped both victories over the Falcons. He logged a season-high 39 saves, including 15 in the second period, to backstop Saturday's win after stopping 21 of 22 shots he faced in Friday's opener, including 13 during a scoreless third.
RIT combined to score 12 goals during last weekend's games versus Air Force - the most ever in a two-game set opposite the Falcons dating back to 2005-06.
ATTA BOY, ROOK
First-year forward Caleb Elfering was voted the Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week for his efforts last weekend. Elfering started with an assist and blocked two shots in Friday's win before adding a goal and an two assists in Saturday's victory. He is tied for the team scoring lead with five points on two goals and three assists over the Tigers' last three games. 
EVERYBODY EATS
Through five games to start the season, 14 Tigers have scored at least one goal, while 17 have notched at least one point. Senior forward Tyler Mahan, junior forward Christian Catalano and senior forward Philippe Jacques all scored their first goals of the season in last Friday's win while junior forward Boris Skalos, sophomore Mathieu Cobetto-Roy and first-year forwards Zach Wigle and William Moore all scored their first RIT goals during Saturday's game.
TIGERS VS. COLGATE
RIT trails the all-time series opposite Colgate, 2-9-1, including a pair of home losses last season, 5-4 and 4-3 (Oct. 25-26). Jakub Krbecek was credited with 33 saves in the opening setback that saw Simon Isabelle and Adam Jeffery each find the net. Tristan Allen scored his first goal in a RIT sweater and added an assist the following night, but the Raiders broke a 3-3 tie five minutes into the third period with what proved to be the deciding goal to clinch the sweep.
