Two Tigers land Atlantic Hockey America weekly honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Two RIT women's hockey players were honored by Atlantic Hockey America with weekly accolades, announced Monday. Sophomore defensewoman Emma Pickering was named the Defender of the Week, while first year forward Kailey Favro was the Rookie of the Week.
Pickering tallied two goals two help RIT to a 4-2 come-from-behind win over Lindenwood, Saturday. She gave RIT a 3-2 lead on her power play goal at 16:24 of the second period and scored again at 16:17 of the third to extend the Tigers lead to 4-2.
Favro recorded four points on two goals and two assists to help the Tigers to a sweep over Lindenwood. She tallied two goals and won 3-of-5 draws in the Tiger's 9-4 win, Friday. She had two assists in RIT's 4-2 come-from-behind win, Saturday.
