ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT baseball team lost to St. John Fisher, 6-0, Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals scored two runs in the top of the first on a 2 RBI double down the left field line
- After two scoreless innings from fifth-year pitcher Peter Bossinas and graduate pitcher Eric Sipling, St. John Fisher scored one run in the fourth on a walk with the bases loaded
- Sophomore pitcher Liam Miller did not allow any runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. Junior pitcher Jacob Statman came to the mound in the eighth.
- The Cardinals earned their final three runs on an pair of RBI singles in the eighth inning
GAME NOTES
- While on the mound, Bossinas tied his season-low of one hit allowed
- Junior shortstop Randy Dodig, junior right fielder Adam Marsh and senior left fielder John Bagley all went 1-for-3 from the plate
- Sipling did not allow any hits or runs in his one-inning outing
