ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT first-year defender Katherine Killian was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) First Team Division III All-Empire Region Team, announced Friday.
Killian led RIT in draw controls (86), caused turnovers (25) and ground balls (42). The First Team All-Liberty League defender finished second in the league averaging 5.73 draw controls and 2.8 ground balls per game and fifth averaging 1.67 caused turnovers per contest.
Killian won a season-high 13 draw controls at Rochester and six ground balls against Clarkson and Union and caused five turnovers at Bard. The conference Rookie of the Week (April 8) finished with a goal and an assist.
Killian is eligible for All-American consideration which will be announced May 24.
