Women's Basketball falls to No. 14 Catholic, 84-43

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The RIT women's basketball team fell to No.14-ranked Catholic, 84-43, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After trailing the Tigers 10-9 in the first quarter, Catholic used a 16-5 run over the final four minutes of the quarter to pull away from RIT.
  • The Cardinals were in control the rest of the way, leading as much as 41 points in the fourth quarter when Maggie Hughes made a three-point shot with 6:20 remaining.

RIT returns home this coming Thursday (Nov. 21), serving as hosts for the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. The Tigers face Nazareth at 8 p.m. after Rochester squares off against St. John Fisher at 6 p.m.
