Women's Hockey loses 5-1 to No. 7 Cornell

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Kylie Aquaro scored a goal in the Tigers 5-1 loss against No. 7 Cornell in non-conference action, Tuesday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Delaney Fleming scored at 18:56 of the opening period to give Cornell a 1-0 lead.
  • Aquaro tied the game on her goal at 19:42 of the frame off assists from sophomore defensewoman Emma Pickering and first year forward Brac Kelley.
  • Katie Chan gave the Big Red a 2-1 lead on her goal 1:43 into the second period.
  • Lily Delianedis tallied a power play goal at 14:13 of the frame to extend Cornell's lead to 3-1.
  • McKenna Van Gelder scored at 15:39 of the third period to give the Big Red a 4-1 lead and Piper Grober tallied a power play goal at 17:52 to make it a 5-1 final.

  • Cornell outshot RIT 43-14
  • The Tigers went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Cornell was 2-for-5
  • Senior goalie Sarah Coe made 38 saves in net
