ALFRED, N.Y. – The RIT men's swimming & diving team earned a narrow 152.5-143.5 victory over Alfred in a dual meet, Friday.
 
First-year Griffin Messenlehner anchored the winning 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:27.28) and in addition to placing first in the 100 Yard Freestyle (48.47). The newcomer also contributed to a second-place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:36.55) and taking second in the 100 Yard Backstroke (53.30).
 
Luke Albanese swept the diving events for the Tigers, scoring 288.95 to win the 1M Diving and 312.35 to take the top spot in the 3M Diving, giving RIT crucial points in the overall team victory.
