ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT first year Lawrence Liss was named the SUNYAC Wresting Rookie of the Week announced by the league Tuesday.
Liss placed third in the Freshman/Sophomore Division at the Bob Del Rosa Ohio Open, Sunday. Liss beat Devion Coffin with a fall at 4:04 in his opening bout, before a 7-6 win over Caleb Scott (Cleveland State) in the quarterfinals. Liss lost 14-1 to Tanner Tishner in the semifinals but rebounded with an 8-4 decision over Jacob Braun in the third-place match.
RIT returns to action on Saturday (Nov. 16) at Johnson and Wales at 11:00 a.m.
