Women's Tennis competes at Mary Hosking Invitational

| Box Score 2 GENEVA, N.Y. -- The RIT women's tennis team completed competition at the Mary Hosking Invitational, Sunday.

Sophomore Kira Kronenberg, the top seed in "A" singles, defeated Samantha Rava (Geneseo), 8-1 in Saturday's opening match. She defeated Ariane Karera (SLU), 8-3 in the quarterfinals, but lost 8-6 to Josephine Libby (Rochester) in Sunday's semifinals.

Kronenberg and first year Emily Greb teamed up to beat Karera/Karera (SLU), 8-7 in Saturday's opening "A" Doubles match. The duo defeated Sutro/Pop (Ithaca), 8-3 in the quarterfinals and beat Meidani/Arizpe Sierra (Union), 8-5 in the semifinals, Sunday, before an 8-2 loss to Flores Gonzalez/Ridenour (RPI) in the finals.

First-year Maya McDaniel defeated RPI's Nicole Ridenour, 8-5 in Saturday's opening match in "A" singles. She beat Haley Levine (William SMith), 8-1 in the quarterfinals, but lost 8-6 to Molly Jespersen (SLU) in the semifinals, Sunday.

RIT returns to action on Sunday (Sept. 15) against Hartwick at 1:00 p.m.
