Henderson lands Liberty League weekly honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- RIT first year guard Caroline Henderson was named the Liberty League Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week announced by the league, Monday.
Henderson averaged 13.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to help RIT to a 2-1 record including a pair of Liberty League road wins last week. Henderson shot 41.7 percent from three-point range, hitting 10-of-24 from beyond the arc while shooting 37.5 percent from the field.
Henderson tallied 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in Tuesday's loss at Rochester. She scored 15 points and had five assists in Friday's 63-55 win at William Smith and finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 58-44 win at RPI, Saturday.
Henderson leads RIT in scoring this season, averaging 14.3 points per game.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 14) against Ithaca at 5:30 p.m.
