Men's Soccer wins 2-1 on the road at Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. –RIT junior forward Jake Donahue scored a career-high two goals to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 win at Ithaca in Liberty League action, Wednesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Donahue scored 47 seconds into the first half to give RIT the lead. Junior midfielder Tate Pottle sent a one-touch pass to Donahue and he scored into the top corner. First year forward Idriss Diallo had the second assist on the play.
  • Donahue tallied his second goal of the half in the 23rd minute, scoring on a shot into the low corner to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
  • Ithaca's Joshua Bourdoulous scored in the 25th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1.
  • RIT's defense clamped down in the second half allowing one shot to get through on net.

 
GAME NOTES

  • Shots were even at 12-12
  • Senior goalie Jason Trapp made three saves to earn the win in net for RIT
  • The Tigers had four corner kicks to five for the Bombers
  • RIT moves into fifth place in the Liberty League standings with 13 points
