ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT first-year Maya Clinard won the deciding point to lead the Tigers to a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Geneseo, Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Anika Galkiewicz tied the match with her 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 win over Abigail Rockwod at fifth singles.
- Clinard won the first set, 7-6 (7-3) over Natalie Pipes at second singles, and held on for a 6-4 win in set two to secure the victory.
- First year Kira Kronenberg won 6-2, 6-1 over Natalie Pipes at first singles.
- The team of Kronenberg and Clinard defeated Pipes and Alex Galle, 8-3 at first doubles, while the duo of seniors Jackie Drozd and Abby Murray picked up an 8-2 win over Rory Tobin and Samantha Rava at second doubles.
