Men's Track & Field finishes first day of Liberty League Outdoor Championships
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field completed the first day of competition at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships, Friday.
RIT currently sits in third place with 32 points behind Rochester (59) and RPI (59).
Friday Highlights:
- Senior Andrew Bernacki placed second in the javelin final with a throw of 57.73m, directly followed by first-year Keenan Gosselin in third (55.80m) and junior Jason Mohr in fourth (55.77m)
- Sophomore Cameron Chambers (15.66), first-year Jacen Mitchell (16.00) and sophomore Eric Antonecchia (16.01) placed third, fourth and fifth in the 110 hurdles prelims, all advancing to Saturday's final
- First-year Jack DeFeo (50.03) and sophomore Ryan Senf (50.63) finished third and sixth in the 400 prelims, advancing to Saturday's final
- Junior Jonathan Jacobs placed seventh in the 100 prelim with a time of 11.03, qualifying for Saturday's final
- Sophomore Josh Bedord finished eighth in the 800 prelim (1:56.91), advancing to Saturday's final
- Junior Max Stein (56.07), first-year Jacen Mitchell (56.83) and first-year Sean Graves (58.41) took second, third and eighth place in the 400 hurdles. All advance to Saturday's finals
