Women's Track & Field completes first day of Liberty League Outdoor Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field completed the first day of competition at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships, Friday.
 
RIT currently sits in third place with 43 points, behind Rochester (73) and Ithaca (60).
 
Friday Highlights:

• Junior Allison Regnante (15.51) and sophomore Rania Sabri (15.93) placed fifth and eighth in the 100 hurdles prelim, qualifying for Saturday's final
• Regnante also finished second in the long jump final with a height of 5.54m
• In the 400 prelims, sophomore Sadie Rose (56.82) and junior Caroline Hill (58.37) finished second and fifth, advancing to Saturday's final. Rose also finished first (24.51) in the 200 prelim ahead of Hill (25.50) in third, qualifying for Saturday's final
• Graduate student Catherine Fox finished second in the pole vault final with a height of 3.51m
• In the 400 hurdle prelim, sophomore Samantha Crisci (1:08.08) and junior Justine Draper (1:09.11) placed fifth and seventh, qualifying for the finals
• Junior Sonya Shivok finished second in the javelin final (36.91m) and senior Abby Carpenter placed fourth (34.28m)
• Senior Katie Cobos placed second in the 10,000 final with an Atlantic Region Championship qualifying time of 38:18.54
