College of Science Access and Belonging Initiatives

Nadine Strossen is the former president of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), recipient of Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters f rom RIT, one of America's top 100 Most Influential Lawyers in the National Law Journal, and author of HATE: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech What Everyone Needs to Know, 2023.

In this workshop, students will learn to identify the signs of imposter syndrome, understand how it can impact academic and career confidence, and identify strategies for resilience.

University Council (UC) brings together representatives from the three governance groups of the university: Faculty Senate, Staff Council and Student Government.  The president, provost, vice presidents, and deans are also represented on the Council, which addresses university-level policies and facilitates communication among the constituents of the university. UC develops and reviews institutional priorities and acts as a forum through which current or continuing issues of higher education can be discussed. Meetings are held monthly and are attended by members of all 3 governance groups, deans, and administrators. RIT students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Interpreters provided. This class involves alternating between strength work and cardio challenges with short rest intervals, and incorporates moves that target the upper body, lower body and core to work on strength, endurance and stability. All fitness levels are welcome to join!
