RIT Athletics Preview: Nov. 6-12
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
The Tigers went 2-1 this past weekend, defeating Fredonia, 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-14, 25-10) on Friday, losing to Carnegie Mellon 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-11, 25-15) and beating Geneseo 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-18, 15-10) on Saturday.
On Friday, senior Hailey Blixt had a team-high 14 digs, while senior Sydney Neff had 37 assists.
In Saturday's win against Geneseo, first-year Macie Jolliffe had 16 kills and 10 digs, Blixt led the Tigers with 21 digs and Neff had 49 assists, 10 digs, four service-aces and seven kills.
RIT will travel to Clarkson on Tuesday for the Liberty League quarterfinals.

MEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers swept Army on the road this past weekend, earning a 4-2 win on Friday and a 5-3 win on Saturday.
On Friday, first-year forward Matthew Wilde scored his first two career goals, while junior forward Carter Wilkie and sophomore forward Tyler Mahan scored for RIT as well. Junior goaltender Tommy Scarfone totaled 34 saves for his 25th-career game with at least 30 saves.
During Saturday's win, junior forward Grady Hobbs scored two goals, while Wilde, sophomore forward Simon Isabelle and fifth-year Gianfranco Cassaro all scored one goal each for the Tigers. Scarfone stopped 26 shots to improve to 6-1 this season.
RIT hosts Mercyhurst for a two-game series this weekend.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
After earning a fifth place finish in the Liberty League championships two weekends ago, the Tigers will compete in the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Championships hosted by Houghton on Saturday.

WRESTLING
The Tigers finished second out of 13 teams at the Ned McGinley Invitational on Saturday.
RIT junior Liam Strouse finished second at 165 lbs, junior Lee Rubin went 5-1 including three wins by pinfall to finish fourth at 125 lbs., while junior Logan Patterson went 4-2 to earn a fourth place finish at 133 lbs. Seniors Ben Dougherty and Mike Glynn III earned a fourth place finishes at 174 lbs. and 149 lbs.
The Tigers will travel to Cleveland, OH to compete in the Ohio Intercollegiate Open on Sunday.
