RIT Athletics Preview: Dec. 4-9
MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers began their indoor season competing at the Houghton December Classic, Friday.
First-year Jacen Mitchell placed third in the 60 hurdles, junior Max Stein placed first in the 400 and fifth in the 200, while sophomore Ryan Senf won the 600. Senior Justin Jantzi placed third in the 300 and fourth in the 60, the 4x400 relay team of first-years Sean Graves, Mitchell, Tucker Haluszczak and Jack DeFeo finished second and junior Noah Koeng placed third in the pole vault.
The Tigers return to action Friday, competing in the Nazareth Alumni Meet.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers kicked off their indoor season at the Houghton December Classic, Friday.
Junior Caroline Hill finished third in the 300, senior Ally Zuidema placed third in the 3,000, while the distance medley relay team of first-year Rachael Ladd, Zuidema, Hill and senior Katie Cobos finished third. Junior Emily DiMarco earned a second-place finish in the shot put, senior Catherine Fox won the pole vault event, with senior Violet Ameele finishing third in the triple jump.
The Tigers return to competition this Friday at the Nazareth Alumni Meet.

MEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers swept Robert Morris this past weekend, winning 4-1 on Friday, followed by a 6-2 victory on Saturday.
On Friday, graduate forward Caleb Moretz, fifth-year defensemen Gianfranco Cassaro, junior forward Carter Wilkie and sophomore forward Simon Isabelle were the Tigers' goal scorers. Cassaro's goal was his fifth game-winning goal of the season.
On Saturday, Isabelle, Wilkie, first-year forward Tyler Fukakusa, graduate forward Elijah Gonsalves and sophomore forward Philippe Jacques all scored for the Tigers. Jacques notched his first two career goals, while senior defensemen Dimitri Mikrogiannakis and sophomore forward Tyler Mahan each had a career-high three assists.
The Tigers hit the road this weekend facing AIC Friday and Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Tigers went 1-1 this weekend, losing to Bard, 64-62 on Friday before beating Union, 73-61, Saturday.
Junior guard Chase Dickens was the Tigers' leading scorer both games, scoring 18 on Friday and 28 on Saturday.
The Tigers host the Harold J. Brodie Classic Friday and Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Tigers earned two wins in their first games of Liberty League play. RIT defeated Bard, 76-56, Friday before defeating Union, 68-64 on Saturday.
Junior guard Hannah Durand led the Tigers in scoring both games this weekend. Durand had 24 points on Friday, followed by a 20-point game on Saturday,
RIT travels to Geneseo on Saturday.
