Throughout the program, students will explore meaningful leadership competencies, develop a deeper sense of belonging, and establish connections to key leadership opportunities, including Orientation Leaders, Residence Advisors, and Wellness Peer Educators.

University Council (UC) brings together representatives from the three governance groups of the university: Faculty Senate, Staff Council and Student Government. The president, provost, vice presidents, and deans are also represented on the Council, which addresses university-level policies and facilitates communication among the constituents of the university. UC develops and reviews institutional priorities and acts as a forum through which current or continuing issues of higher education can be discussed. Meetings are held monthly and are attended by members of all 3 governance groups, deans, and administrators. RIT students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Interpreters provided.
