Kayser-Cochran lands Liberty League weekly accolades
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first year Ben Kayser-Cochran was named the Liberty League Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week announced by the league, Monday.
Kayser-Cochran averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a pair of Liberty League wins last weekend. The first year forward shot 7-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and averaged 1.5 assists and 2.0 steals. Kayser-Cochran scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Tigers 71-40 win over Clarkson, Friday and tallied five points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in Saturday's 68-60 win over St. Lawrence.
RIT returns to action on Friday (Jan. 31) against RPI at 5:30 p.m.
