Fifth Annual RIT Undergraduate Global Humanities Virtual Conference

RIT’s interior design program presents an exhibition of senior capstone projects. It is on view May 5-11, with a reception set for 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in University Gallery. It is free and open to all.

Students graduating from RIT's medical illustration program are presenting their capstone work during a one-day exhibition. It is on view 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in the SHED Bower Maker Showcase (room 1300). A reception is set for 6-9 p.m.

Jancy Nightingale-Burch (MBA 2025), assistant director of marketing for the executive education programs in Saunders College of Business will present her economics independent study, which intends to establish the groundwork for a strategic, long-term evaluation on the economic role of non-profits in the Greater Rochester region.

The Order of the Engineer recognizes the pride and great responsibility that comes with entry into the engineering profession. Each year, at ceremonies across the United States, graduating and registered engineers accept the Obligation of the Engineer, which is comparable to the Hippocratic Oath taken by medical doctors. Those who take the pledge promise to uphold the high standards and ethical responsibilities of the engineering profession. A stainless steel ring worn on the fifth finger of the working hand symbolizes each initiate’s commitment to uphold the Obligation of the Engineer. "Centum" is a weeklong showcase of lighting inspired from century-old design by nine RIT industrial design students. The exhibition will take place in Anderson Alley Studios (suite 401) — 250 N. Goodman St. Rochester, N.Y. An opening reception is set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 2, with a closing event on tap for 5-6 p.m. Thursday, May 8. All are welcome.
