RIT Athletics Preview: Sept. 18-24
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
The Tigers hosted the RIT Invitational last weekend. RIT lost to St. John Fisher 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) on Friday and also fell to Trine 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-23) and Grove City 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16) on Saturday.
RIT will travel to Brockport this Tuesday, before traveling to Tufts (Mass.) to take part in the Tufts Invitational Friday and Saturday.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Tigers lost to St. John Fisher, 2-1, on Wednesday and Geneseo, 2-1, on Saturday.
Senior forward Natalie Faiola scored in the 78th minute off of an assist from sophomore defender Roberta Moger in Wednesday's loss. On Saturday, sophomore Elena Onodera scored her second goal of the season in the loss against Geneseo.
The Tigers host William Smith in their first Liberty League game of the season on Wednesday, before heading to Clarkson on Saturday.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Tigers defeated Hartwick, 6-3, last Tuesday. RIT senior Abby Murray won the deciding point to lead the Tigers to victory. First-year Philasophia Wood won her first collegiate match with a 6-3, 6-0 at sixth singles, while first-year doubles team Kira Kronenberg and Maya Clinard won at first doubles, 8-1. Kronenberg won in straight sets at first singles, while Drozd won 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 at third singles.
The Tigers also competed at the St. Lawrence Fall Invitational, Sunday. In singles, Clinard, Drozd and sophomore Anika Galkiewicz posted 2-1 records in singles, while Murray and Wood each won one match. In doubles, the team of Kronenberg and Clinard went 2-1.
The Tigers begin competition at the ITA Northeast Regional Championship at William Smith on Friday.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Tigers finished in seventh place out of 20 teams at the Yellowjacket Invitational, Saturday.
RIT sophomore Derick Koen finished 14th out of 250 runners, followed by sophomore Evan Owens in 42nd, sophomore Joe Krenzer in 65th, senior Nathan Ballay in 72nd, senior Jacob Fricano in 76th, senior Zachary Eckhardt in 101st and first-year Andrew Cherkasky in 103rd. RIT finished with 210 points.
The Tigers will compete in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Tigers finished in eighth place out of 21 teams at the Yellowjacket Invitational, Saturday.
RIT senior Katie Cobos finished 12th out of 253 runners, followed by graduate student Amelia Gilbert in 27th, sophomore Abby Nautel in 62nd, senior Sydney Burgard in 70th, senior Abby Zuidema in 71st, sophomore Abby Thomas in 80th and first-year Eva Reilly in 118th. RIT finished with 190 points.
The Tigers will compete in the Harry F. Anderson, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.

MEN'S SOCCER
The Tigers tied Rochester, 3-3, on Tuesday and St. John Fisher, 1-1, on Saturday.
On Tuesday, goals from sopohmore defender Tate Pottle, sophomore forward Jake Donahue and senior forward Joshua Price helped RIT earn the draw against Rochester. Price's goal was his fourth of the season and senior forward Randy Dickersbach earned two assists Tuesday night.
On Saturday, Price scored his fifth goal of the season in the tie to St. John Fisher.
RIT hosts Clarkson in their first Liberty League game of the season, Saturday.
