Women’s Soccer defeats Skidmore on Senior Day, 4-0
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a dominant 4-0 victory over Skidmore in the regular season finale, Saturday. With the win, the Tigers secured the third seed in the upcoming Liberty League Tournament.
Before the game, the team recognized six seniors in a pre-game ceremony.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior midfielder Bella Coccio opened the scoring in the 14th minute, stealing the ball from a defender at the top of the penalty box and finishing for her third goal of the season.
- Elena Onodera, a senior forward, converted a penalty kick in the 48th minute to double the Tigers' lead.
- Sophomore forward Amerie Mills added a third goal in the 64th minute, finishing a loose ball in front of the goal.
- Junior midfielder Emma Pedro capped the scoring in the 76th minute with a one-time shot off a deflection from the Skidmore goalkeeper.
GAME NOTES
- RIT outshot Skidmore 22-to-5, including an 11-to-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- Senior goalkeeper Emily Sanchez made three saves to earn the shutout.
- The Tigers held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
- The win secured a 5-3-1 Liberty League record and an 8-3-6 overall record for RIT heading into postseason play.

RIT will host six-seed Union in the Liberty League Tournament first round this Tuesday.
