Men's Hockey loses 3-0 to visiting Holy Cross
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Hockey team lost a 3-0 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) decision to visiting Holy Cross, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Holy Cross took a 1-0 lead on a delayed penalty midway through the first. John Gelatt received a pass outside the right post and put a shot off Tiger first-year goaltender Ethan David's pads that rebounded to Will Troutwine for a short finish on the crease.
- The Crusaders took a 2-0 lead at 14:57 of the second after Connor Welsh knocked a puck down in the neutral zone along the right wing boards and pushed a pass forward to Joe Solomine in the Tiger zone. Solomine threw a pass into the low slot onto the tape of Michael Hodge, who dragged the puck to his backhand for a short finish inside the right post.
- Holy Cross tacked on an empty-net goal by Ty Gagno with 1:02 left in regulation to close the weekend sweep.
