RIT Jazz auditions Fall 2025

Saddle up for Ritchie’s Rodeo! Test your grit on the mechanical bull, get loose with axe throwing, and race your friends on giant inflatable horses. Show off your line dancing with steps led by CAB’s very own Mary Clements and Naysa Ko! Decorate your own cowboy hat and dance the night away with live music from Scott Celani. Check out a food truck, and kick on your boots for a fest from the wild west.

New to intramurals? Looking for a team? Drop in and play a variety of sports with other free agents. Sign-up today!!

Want to get those pre-audition jitters out? Want to practice your monologue and receive some helpful feedback? Theater faculty member and PAS theater and musical theater guide Alexa Scott-Flaherty will be available to watch your audition and give you feedback so you feel more confident going into auditions. You can sign up for a slot, or you can just drop in. Each slot will be five minutes. Please come prepared to present one piece. Monologues for auditions are available here. Join us for this annual RIT tradition welcoming incoming women and nonbinary students. Participants will receive a commemorative lantern to light their route through campus. This event will begin in the Davis Room (SAU 1300) with a reception to follow in the University Gallery (Booth Hall 2700). All RIT students, faculty, and staff are welcome!

The third installment of RIT Shorts — a biannual spotlight of films made by RIT School of Film and Animation students that airs on WXXI-TV in Rochester — is set to broadcast across three dates in late August. The featured films for this edition are by Deanna Moorehead ’25 MFA, Vinh Nguyen ’25 MFA, and Kenneth Reynolds ’25.
