Women's Soccer loses to St. John Fisher, 2-1
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team lost to St. John Fisher 2-1 in their fifth game of the season, Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. John Fisher's Emma Spelman scored in the 25th minute to give the Cardinals the early lead
- RIT had an opportunity to equalize in the 29th minute with a free kick just outside of the box, but sophomore defender Roberta Moger's shot was saved
- Junior midfielder Olivia Harris took a shot in the center of the box in the 47th minute that went off the crossbar
- St. John Fisher scored once more in the 50th minute
- RIT senior forward Natalie Faiola scored in the 78th minute off an assist by Moger
GAME NOTES
- Faiola scored her first goal of the season
- RIT outshot St. John Fisher 19-8, including eight shots on target
- Tonight's loss ended the Tigers' two-game shutout streak
