ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT senior Katie Cobos finished first out of 57 runners to lead the women's cross country team to first place at the Fifth-Annual St. John Fisher Terry Rodenbeck Invitational, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cobos finished the four-kilometer course in 14:53.1, earning first place by nearly two seconds
- Senior Amelia Gilbert finished third (14.56.9), followed by junior Sierra Danieu in fifth (15:05.2) and first-year Therese Georgia finished seventh (15.08.7)
- Senior Sydney Burgard finished in 13th place with a time of 15:32.2
- Sophomore Abby Nautel finished 20th with a time of 15:54.0
- RIT and Geneseo each scored 29 points, but the Tigers were awarded first place via tiebreaker. The host Cardinals finished third with 74 points

RIT is scheduled to compete at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park next Saturday (Sept. 16th) at 11:00 a.m.
