Men's Cross Country finishes third at Terry Rodenbeck Invite

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first-year Andrew Cherkasky finished 13th out of 46 runners to lead the men's cross country team to third-place at the Fifth Annual St. John Fisher Terry Rodenbeck Invitational, Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Cherkasky finished the six-kilometer course in 20:09.0,14 seconds before Tiger first-year Turner Gill in 20th (20:25.0)
  • Senior Clayton Koppi finished 23rd (20:36.7), followed by first-years Samuel Adamson in 24th (20:42.4) and Steven McChesney in 25th (20:44.1)
  • Senior Evan Fisher-Perez crossed 27th (20:48.2) just ahead of first-year Zachary Sowers in 28th (20:58.4) to complete RIT's top-seven. 
  • Geneseo won the team title with 15 points, followed by St. John Fisher (54) and RIT (71).

WHAT'S NEXT
RIT is scheduled to compete at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, September 16th at 11:45 a.m.
