Three Tigers land Liberty League weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three RIT student-athletes were named Liberty League Performers of the Week announced Monday, November 6. First year Anna Beahan was named Liberty League Women's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week. On the men's side senior Mike Atanasoff and junior Gellert Kish were named Liberty League Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week.

Beahan won two individual events and swam a leg in a winning relay to help RIT to a 197-103 win over Gannon, Saturday. The first-year swimmer won the 200 freestyle (1:56.60) and the 100 freestyle (53.29), and swam the second leg in the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:37.63).

Atanasoff won two individual events and swam legs in two winning relays to help RIT to a 176-124 win over Gannon, Saturday. The senior swimmer won the 50 freestyle in a pool-record time of 20.73 and 100 butterfly with a pool-record time of 49.05. Atanasoff swam the third leg in the winning 200 medley relay and the anchor leg in the 200 freestyle relay.

Kish swept both diving events to help RIT to a 176-124 win over Gannon, Saturday. The junior diver won the 1-meter competition with a score of 320.10 and the 3-meter competition with a score of 285.40.
