Scarfone voted Atlantic Hockey Co-Goaltender of the Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior Tommy Scarfone was named the Atlantic Hockey Co-Goaltender of the Week Monday.

  • Scarfone made 36 saves in Saturday's 3-0 shutout of Notre Dame during RIT's annual Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend game in front of a sellout crowd of 10,556 at Blue Cross Arena.
  • Scarfone backstopped the Tigers' defense that killed all six Irish power play attempts, including a full 5-on-3 six minutes into the game as well as a five-minute major at the end of the second period.
  • Scarfone logged his sixth career shutout and 23rd career game with at least 30 saves en route to his fifth AHA weekly honor.

RIT opens Atlantic Hockey play hosting Sacred Heart this Friday and Saturday (Oct 20-21) at 7:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m., respectively.
