Women's Hockey loses 4-2 at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Kylie Aquaro scored a goal in the Tigers 4-2 loss at Syracuse in Atlantic Hockey America action, Friday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Aquaro scored at 11:57 of the first period to give RIT the lead. Senior defensewoman Kyla Bear fired a shot from the point. The rebound came out front to Aquaro who poked a shot in for her fifth goal of the season.
  • First year forward Kailey Favro scored at 6:18 of the second period to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
  • Syracuse's Charli Kettyle cut the Tiger's lead to 2-1 on her power play goal at 10:59 of the second.
  • Bryn Saarela scored 43 seconds into the third period to tie the game at 2-2 and tallied a short-handed goal at 10:26 to give the Orange a 3-2 lead.
  • Rylee McLeod scored at 12:30 of the third to make it a 4-2 final.

 
GAME NOTES

  • RIT outshot Syracuse 42-26
  • The Tigers went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Syracuse was 1-for-2
  • Senior goalie Sarah Coe made 22 saves in net.
